How long maximum is it recommended to stay outside of US while I485 still in process due to pd being not current?
I’d appreciate if you could share your experience of using your AP with your length of stay outside of US. Have your lawyers recommended specific maximum period you should stay? thank you!

no more than 2-3 months and your ap should be valid( not expired )

@Bad Boy thanks for letting me know. yes, my AP just got approved so it will be valid. I’m planning to stay a bit longer, so could I ask where did you hear about no more than 2-3 months?

@eb3 skilled there is no any writtern rule but in general all the attoney wil say not to exxeed 3 month in AP. beacause gc is given to stay in usa not to travel outside for longer time. even with gc u cannot stay more than 6 months it will be a trouble in POE. think wisely!!
