I-601 must be approved before I-485 can be approved.

@tish squirewell, wow, that is a long wait for you. did you try requesting your congressman to request USCIS speed up your process?

Benny champ yes I did reach out to my congressman from last year but it didn’t help
I can't wait to see if the green card is really greenOct 5, 2024
Hey, just a quick reminder to add your I-130 and I-601 approvals under the USCIS document tab. Let me fill you in on my situation. So, I submitted my I-601 waiver and got denied twice over a year. I tried to file it again three more times, but it kept getting denied 'cause they said I didn’t have enough proof. But good news—my I-601 waiver finally got approved in December 2023! But wait, there's more! After waiting forever for my green card, I started bugging USCIS every week for updates. Then, I got hit with a denial for my I-485 application because the officer claimed they hadn’t received my I-601 approval. Ugh! So, I had to reapply and fork over another $5,000. This time, I made sure to include a copy of my I-601 waiver right with my new I-485 application. After a few months, I got another Request for Evidence (RFE) asking for my I-94, which I sent over right away. But then, on September 27th, guess what? USCIS hit me with another RFE, asking me to file the I-601 waiver again, even though I did that three years ago and it was approved! So, I had to send them my I-601 approval again along with a letter explaining everything today. Fingers crossed they finally send me my green card this time!
