if your status is showing case has been sent to the department of state … give it till 3wks later and make public inquiry by filing the form and submitting , telling them about your approval since 3wks and requesting for your welcome letter … also welcome letter takes about 1-2months… while you wait within this timeframe , start gathering your docs and let your petitioner fill out the form 134 and also type the letter of intent to marry within 90days ( she will sign ) … all your petitioner docs will be original copies , you will as well do photocopy of each of them but make sure you go to interview with all original as well as photocopy, which the original will be returned back to you prevent anything that will make them give you 221G bcos you didn’t come with a particular doc request for your case number via the public inquiry so you can go ahead and pay visa fee and fill ds160 while you wait for the welcome letter ( this is after 3-4wks that your case is with NVC ) all the best
