How long does it now take to get a response for Premium Processing from Nebraska Service Centre?

It appears our friends at USCIS are having issues with premium processing in December and January. There was reportedly a surge of petitions filed with Nebraska Service Center (NSC) and Texas Service Center (TSC) since Thanksgiving. TSC and NSC are primary processing locations for EB-2 NIW and EB-1A Form I-140 petitions.
I have heard that NSC has missed (or will miss) premium processing deadlines on “hundreds” of petitions. USCIS is working internally to re-assign the petitions so that they can receive adjudications.
As I mentioned last week, one of my cases was already impacted by this issue at NSC and I have several pending at this time.
My case received action within 7 working days from the deadline that was missed but I have heard reports of longer waits.
USCIS’s current regulations do permit them to shut down premium processing “if circumstances prevent the completion of processing of a significant number of such requests within the applicable processing timeframe.”
For now, it appears that USCIS is planning on just issuing refunds but stay tuned.
I’m still fairly young, but this is the first time I’ve seen so many deadlines missed all at once.
Hopefully not a sign of things to come.

@Farash go green đź’š . Although I have an EB2 NIW I-140 application pending for more than a year, my employer based Eb3 I-140 premium processing was approved within 10 days just this past December 2024. Both in Nebraska Service center
