how fill I 9 with green card extension letter

Hi How to fill I 9 with the extension letter that extends the expired green card validity by 4 years. Do I have to upload copies of both? Please guide. My employer me an email to fill I 9 as my existing green card is about to expire. Thanks

take the extension notice to your employer along with your green card and they will keep a copy for records!
