How far was your priority date from the day you sent in your vawa application?
For people who filed for vawa, when was the day you sent your application at the post office and what is the priority date shown on your receipt notice? how far away are both dates ?
I'm just trying to know how long it takes for them to officially create a priority date from when you mail in your package. I know it takes 2 to 3 months for them to send the receipt notice/let you know what that priority date is.

when u get aproved notice (not receipt notice )in that receipt they send your pd . if u file before130 with your ex spouse so it was your pd . my vawa aprove 10/5/23 but in receipt my pd is 7/12/12 form my fist 130 aproved date

@bobby patel Okay. I'm just worried because what if my spouse divorce me before I even get my vawa receipt notice ? if I mail my vawa application, it will take about 3 months before I get receipt notice for it, what happens if spouse just divorce before I get that receipt notice to secure my i-485 that i put with the i-130. What if they call for i-130 interview before I even get my receipt notice to show them that I already applied vawa ?

your priority date will be the date they receive your application, does not matter if you are waitung for receipts (if no previous application was filed, in case previous family based application was filed, your priority date will be from that)

@red dead I am married to a US citizen. Is there a difference in regards to vawa ?

@uscislin linuscis Okay. I already have a pending I-130 so I guess that would be the priority date for i-360.
So I'm I safe as soon as they receive the i-360 application ? I'm just thinking what would happen if spouse divorces me and i-130 is canceled or withdrawn (while uscis already received my i-360 application but have not yet sent me my receipt notice).
