how does paper filled case work when it comes to approving them
my main question: are paper filled cases digitalized at uscis and are the cases afterwards processed digitally or is you physical case file being sent from nbc to fo and processes from officers to officers. my pd is about to become current and my case was paper filled. not sure how this will trigger a unpause on my case that was paused due to no visa available.

Paper filings are often scanned into USCIS systems, but that does not change the visa-availability rule. USCIS says employment-based adjustment applicants generally must use the Final Action Dates chart, and a visa must be available at final adjudication; once the PD is current, USCIS can resume review, whether the case started on paper or not.
