How do you get good Credit Score
Hello I’m from China and I’m a GC holder.
I have a general question on building credit scores in the states.
Currently I only have about 580. I’ve been living in the states for quite a while but I haven’t made good score yet because I’m a student and yet to have made significant transactions and payment history. Do you guys have any tips on getting a good credit score? It seems that it is hard to build a good credit score from scratch. Thank you. #creditscore

unfortunately to increase credit they require you to take out loans and pay them off. What you can do with your credit card/s ( if you don’t have one get one ). Dont make minimum payments , try to avoid late payments , monitor your credit ( you can use credit karma)

Use a credit card and make payments on time as well as for housing, phone, car installments, etc). Never use more than 30%of the available credit. The longevity of your credit score will affect your overall score, that way they can know how reliable you are over time. payment history accounts for around 40% of your score. credit history and credit usage, 20% each. (For chase). hope this helps a little bit.

If you have a friend or family member with good credit you can asked to be added to their account as an authorized user. You can take out a secured credit card with your bank. keep your usage at or below 30%. Hope this helps
