How do I place a service request to National Benefits Center?
My case was transferred to National Benefits Center in March 2023 from original service center. I received medical RFE and responded in January 2024. I haven’t received any status updates since then even though more than 60 days have passed since I responded to my medical RFE. I am going to place a service request, however National Benefits Center is not listed in the drop down menu of the service request form. What do I do in this case? Do I choose my original service center instead? #eb2niw

You can also local congress. You can sue USCIS for a delayed case on your own, you will get a decision within 60 days. Do youtube search to learn more about it, and to get assistance with it "Writ of Mandamus Pro Se"

@Me Myself and I use this link https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do and select "case outside normal processing time"

@R A The problem is that it does not say it’s outside normal processing time. It says your case is processing normally. The inquiry date is in 2028😑

@Me Myself and I That's okay. Try to submit one. If it is go through the system, you are lucky. It won't negatively affect your case even when you raise a SR before the inquiry date.

@RA Thanks for clarifying. Can I do it on my own? I have an attorney who suggests to wait a few more months. I’m tired of waiting.

On the same boat here. My derivative got her medical RFE 3 months before me. Mine has been >60 days already. We both haven't heard back yet. The case is still pending on RFE request sent. My lawyer suggested just to wait.

@Me Myself and I You are welcome! We also filed through a attorney. But submitted the SR without telling them and we got approved ours. You can do it yourself. At the end you have to select Submitted by applicant.

@R A I just submitted it, but it didn’t go through. Says an inquiry may not be created becase the petition is within the posted processing times. Trying everything I can possibly do. Congrats on your success!

@Me Myself and I Did you contact Emma recently?
Me Myself and I Apr 1, 2024
@RA Yes, I did. What difference does it make?
R AApr 1, 2024
@Me Myself and I It might mark your case as recently reviewed because when we contacted Emma, our information and case will pull up from the system. This is only my guess. I might be wrong.

@ R A I never thought about it that way. Do you think that means it may take them even longer to take decision if I contact Emma? All of this is so frustrating.

@KA exact same thing here. Mine also shows that rfe notice was sent. No updates for 70+ days. Did you try to contact uscis via Emma? Keeping fingers crossed for all of us who are in the same boat!

@Me Myself and I Did your rfe come from NBC or FO? Mine was from a non-local FO.
