HOW CAN I EXPEDITE MY VAWA?
Hii everyone, I'm very scared I used to have asylum from court, TPS and my VAWA case. The court terminated my case and cancel my asylum, and now Trump revoke the TPS for venezuelan. My work card expired in April. And my lawyer said it's not good idea to apply for the i-485 until my VAWA is approved. I faced homelessness when I was pregnant. I lost everything from my ex. And I have a restraining order from my ex spouse for me and our kids. I'm the only caregiver. we have no family here. And he doesn't want to even sign for the passport for the kids. They're just one and they only have me. Do you know how can I expedite my case. What documents should I send?

@Alejandra Moros If your ex husband is a U.S. citizen then file your I-485 so that you have a status as I-485 pending means waiting for your permanent residence otherwise you will be in danger. Act fast!

maybe there is a reason your lawyer saying to not apply for I 485, he had to evaluate your case before making that decision, seek advice from a professional

@Bobur n I understand your point, but I'd much rather uscis reject my I-485 application than for my lawyer to tell me not to. Unless she's a criminal, which I doubt, there's no reason she can file for that. Do you know how many people on this platform have been misinformed and suffered even more because of poor advice they got from their lawyers? How many filed EAD under the wrong category? How many disappear after taking their clients' money?
