Do you all think adding your case to lawfully notifies USCIS and just makes it go slower? 😅 there are people that applied same time as us/same center - and don’t even know what lawfully is and have gotten their earlier approvals! and they’re not on this app to comment/share their experience 😕I may be wrong but I was just wondering this recently…..

Center: Nebraska
PD: Nov 2023 (230 days) - still waiting - I know others here from Sept/Oct 2023 still waiting as well especially from Nebraska

Nationality: Residing in the US on STEM OPT, but Nationality is Nigerian
The case status website shows people around our time are getting approved but I don’t see any news of that shared by people here on lawfully, so I was wondering if adding my case here somehow made it go longer - cuz if I didn’t see more people here going through the same I would have definitely been more worried, 7months+ now!
The people that encouraged me to apply for EB2-NIW - applied earlier last year and all got approvals in max 4months 💗if you got a recent positive experience from Nebraska (PD of July-Dec 2023), please share! I only see people still waitingg here on lawfully, but this: www.casestatusext.com shows otherwise!

I think the speed of adjudication depends on the officer who gets your case from what a lawyer told me. Some officers are faster than others.

@Mrs Mrs Hmnn I see - not sure that’s what will cause the difference in 4months and 7months+ tho - I saw your comments on some other posts too ma’am and they were helpful - thanks
General question - did you all also notice that Nebraska is no longer in the official website list of Uscis address of where to file I-140? it is now just Texas and Chicago - so I wonder if Nebraska is just busy now and if they will finish up cases in their possession or transfer it elsewhere 🤧

@Sodo 11 A lot of petitions have moved to IOE including I-140 so it really doesn’t matter the center anymore because rhe officer can look at your case from whenever they are working. Also, Texas I was told hired more new officers so maybe that is why they are faster than Nebraska. Maybe Nebraska did not do the same. Nebraska is sure backlogged than Texas. Hopefully you get a decision soon. I understand the $2805 is such a big amount to pay for PP.

USCIS just increased the Nebraska's processing time for eb2-niw at 10 months in their website. I wouldn't be surprised if they will increase it again in the future.
