hi guys,my interview is in 3 weeks in Kansas but my husband is deployed.I plan to go alone with all the documents needed. Has anyone had the same issue? should I get a lawyer to go with me?
did anyone have their interview in Kansas? is there any military spouse that can give me more insights? Do I need an attorney or lawyer to go with me or I will be fine?

@Elvani Augustus if you show up alone great they’re literally gonna reschedule your appointment until he’s able to show up guaranteed that’s what’s going to happen

You can attend the interview alone if your spouse is deployed If the interview is marriage-based (such as for adjustment of status), both spouses are usually expected to attend. However, if your spouse is deployed on active military duty, their absence can be justified. You should bring the following: Proof of military deployment (such as a letter from the command, deployment orders, or official military documentation) A signed letter from your spouse explaining their absence and confirming the validity of your marriage Strong evidence of a bona fide marriage, including photos, joint bank accounts, lease or mortgage agreements, children’s birth certificates (if applicable), and other shared responsibilities or documentation they might reschedule the interview or accept you by yourself

Hi! You can attend the interview alone if your spouse is deployed — just make sure to bring his deployment orders, a letter explaining his absence, and strong evidence of your relationship. Many have done it successfully. You only need a lawyer if your case is complicated, but if it gives you peace of mind, it’s totally okay to bring one. Good luck — and thank your husband for his service! 💙🇺🇸

@Anna B I didn’t say anything wrong. I simply said to her she don’t want to reschedule her appointment because she’ll regret it. I told her to go I said, use her passport and go. and I said they’re gonna reschedule it because there was an individual on here earlier last week who did the same thing his spouse is on deployment. He showed up to his interview by himself and they rescheduled his appointment that part of the reason why I said they’ll reschedule her appointment because I saw someone in the week last week with the exact same situation.

thank you guys very much. I really appreciate all the answers. I finally got in touch with Uscis and they told me that it’s absolutely fine to attend the interview alone as far as I have my husbands deployment papers and ready for the interview alone. thank you guys 🙏🏾
