the process is all described on uscis website and you should also be able to call the embassy to find out what to do. Don't get helped by no random person for a fee if they are not lawyers or have an office for immigration aid .

@Eunice , Please check your case and get your case number and all your information on paper then call uscis and tell them you are calling to find out about your case , and if you have your case number you check the status online ,

Don’t hesitate to call the USCIS anytime for any question you have in mind. I was waiting for an interview as well and they never called, so I decided to call them and when I did, they told me I’ll receive a letter in the mail within 30days explaining why I haven’t heard from them. Less than 2 weeks, they sent a letter and the letter didn’t explain anything rather, it was my interview notice that they just finally scheduled after that one phone call. so call them.

What is ur service center? Maybe it’s because of where u case is being processed. My sister filled for her husband in 2017, they scheduled him for an interview last year, November 2021, and got his visa. So I will suggest u call them eventhough it’s difficult to get them on phone but try nd get them on phone, maybe they will fix that issue. I’m also filling for my husband who is in Ghana but praying and hoping I hear from them soon.

I filed for my husband in May and my service center is Vermont service center. I added all the necessary documents to the application. So the case status didn’t change until last year October 18, that was when it changed to actively reviewing.

I am also facing the same issue. NVC cannot schedule interviews until Ghana Embassy gives them the go ahead. They are blaming everything on COVID-19 and staff shortages. For now we just have to keep our hopes alive. You can google, NVC backlogs and it will give you how many cases are waiting for interviews and others. or check USCIS YouTube channel for updates https://youtu.be/V6UvcKFaw08

Also if you are sending a translated document (French to English) to NVC how do you certified the document. Thanks

mansa you should be able to call them directly to get that information. you can go to your country immigration service or ministry to translate and certify your documents
