Yes I renewed my license in MA with a pending I-485. The lady at Revere RMV initially gave me a one-month lincense and said it can’t be extended for an year. I then showed her the law on MA.gov which includes AOS applicants eligible for license renewal. Only then she accepted and granted me a 1 year license. Be prepared, the staff may initially not accept your I485 receipt notice as eligible document for license renewal. As I said, politely and firmly showing the policy on MA.gov worked for me at the end.
