why would you go the court for adjusment? because they were denied?

why his he in removal adjustment with Approved vawa

I am in a similar situation I believe, I was granted withholdin of removal (lost asylum due to 1 year deadline) my lawyer concurrenly filed (I360,I765, I485 & I131)

motion to reopen and terminate was filed and the status is currently showing “case is pending” I wonder if there is a posibility to adjust with IJ court ( I am not longer in removal procedings since withholding was granted) any idea if adjustment could still be with IJ court?

He was initially married to USC wife and his ex-wife lied against him to have the police got him arrested, the case was later dismissed and he filled I 360. ICE later served him NTA that landed him in court. His I 360 was approved last year and adjustment of status filed to the court and the judge asked for his medical exam and form I 864W for his upcoming court hearing. He just wanted to know what questions the judge might ask.

I was in removal proceedings because I applied for a tourist visa extension and it was denied. After my I-360 approval, my lawyer asked DHS to joint the motion based on approved VAWA and they did, after that she filled with the court and 2 months later the judge terminated my court and that was it. I didn’t even need to see the judge or anything similar, was all through my lawyer and before the court date.

nothing was asked by the judge. The judge just only checked his eligibility requirements and said the ICE lawyer asked him about his past arrest. After that, the judge granted the petition.
