Hey Sorry
I know I’m asking a lot of questions lol, but which one is faster, having a spouse abroad or having them already living in the US? I’m a US Citizen btw. I’m just curious because I seen a lot of ppl doing I-130 here

according to my lawyer from her experience here is much faster.

doing it while your spouse in in the US is better. however, I need to know that status of your spouse now to tell how you both can proceed.

doing from here is alot easier and less stressful. in addition to that you will be living with your spouse

but how can your foreign citizen spouse go through this process in US? my husband would love to be here with us awaiting the process for permanent residency instead of being apart. I only know of k3 visa and the 1-130 petiton. k3 visas are usually always cancelled out once you receive the approval from petition..which could take more than a year.

I was just curious how can you get your spouse to live in the US before filing i-130. I don’t know of any other process other than travel visa maybe?
