Hey Lawfully fam!
I have a question for people that contacted their Rep for assistance. How did it help your case? I received an email back from them today saying they received an email back from USCIS which they attached and it just said theyโre working on providing more consistent processing times. Itโs been 14 months already and Iโm seeing people that itโs taking 2+ years with their cases which is discouraging me ๐. Someone please tell me contacting the Reps get approved faster ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ

I contacted the congressman when I was 14.5 months in USCIS. I waited til that time to write him because I saw that other people got answers like You are within the processing time. So I wrote him filling a form and he made the inquiry and USCIS responded that they were gonna check. After one week I emailed him asking if he had a new email from USCIS, he then contacted USCIS again and they responded that they were checking my case. The next day I was approved

Hello Ivy, can you give the email to Rep. thanks
J TSep 19, 2024
It didnโt help me at all. But Texas Service center is moving very fast and you will most likely be approved in a week. Iโm July 18th and already approved. Hang in there.

@Ivy Vn from the email, it looks like theyโre going to review my case and get back to the rep. but I did notice that b4 I contacted them my case had been stagnant with โprocessing longer than normalโ n yesterday it updated to 5 months (which I know thatโs not a real time frame)

hello! please what category are you? Iโm F2A(I-130) and pd is 09/05/2022 but my case is still showing activity review. I contacted my rep on Friday and they sent me a form, I filled it and send back. my rep will get back to me within 30 days after receiving a response from USCIS. I became citizen a after my pd. I informed USCIS about my change of status and I thought this could help reduce my wait time. itโs been 2 years and I am still waiting for a decision ๐คท๐ฝ

You will get the approval soon. The "My progress" changed for me too when they were checking my case it changed from 2 months to 4 weeks and then I received the approval the same week. My progress is never accurate but at least lt let you know when they check ur file

@SHAMSIDEEN ๐ณ๐ฌ ๐บ๐ธ It's a different congressman for each state, there are 2 senators for each state and also a senator junior. Go to govtrack.us and put your address, it will show you the senators for your state. Then you choose one of them and click on the link of their official web site and look for the options, choose Help with a Federal agency and fill a form. The petitioner is the one that has to do that

@Ivy Vn Do you send any extra documents, such as the case receipt?
Paola QuezadaSep 19, 2024
@Yancy Ayala yes submit a screenshot of the submission receipt
Yancy AyalaSep 19, 2024
@Paola Quezada that's all?
SHAMS ๐บ๐ธ ๐ ๐ Sep 19, 2024
Thanks ๐
Paola QuezadaSep 20, 2024
@Yancy Ayala yes just that along with the form on their page
Ivy VNSep 20, 2024
@Yancy Ayala I didn't send anything. The form that I filled for the request asks for case number and category and all those things. I don't think it's needed to send the receipt notice or anything. But I've seen that people that have filed expedites and received a negative answer, they upload that info and talk about it in the letter to the congressman.

@Ivy Vn How many days after contacting the senator did they respond to you? Can you tell me how the process went?
Ivy VNSep 23, 2024
@Yancy Ayala The congressman always answered me the same day and he contacted USCIS also same day. The first time that the congressman sent them an inquiry, USCIS responded the next business day. and the second time when the congressman emailed them, USCIS responded the same day
Yancy AyalaSep 23, 2024
@Ivy Vn I have already made the request, thanks for the help.
Ivy VNSep 23, 2024
@Yancy Ayala Hope you get approved soon. Next part is faster. I was approved 10 days ago by USCIS and I already submitted everything to NVC just waiting for approval, it takes 7 days to be approved by NVC so probably next friday and then I'll be waiting for the interview letter which in my country is 3 months
Yancy AyalaSep 23, 2024
@Ivy Vn They have already responded to my email and told me that they would help me with my case.
Yancy AyalaSep 23, 2024
In which country
Ivy VNSep 24, 2024
@Yancy Ayala That's good if they said they would help.
I'm from Ecuador
