hey guys my pd 06/2022 and I do have deferred action but my work permit will expire in next year can I able to renew my work permit i heard that if you make enough money you can’t renew it

@Aayan Lin Is this VAWA? If the abuser was a U.S Citzen, you can directly apply for the green card and apply for c09 ead while your petition gets approved. If the abuser is a green card holder, you can apply for ead under c31 (VAWA category) but i heard that takes long. I would recommend consulting with a lawyer.

@m m no I am sij not vawa i have my work permit c14 but my pd is06/22 so my work permit will expire soon so i am scared can i renew it or not

@Aayan Lin your work permit/deferred action should expire june 2026 right? I would recommend applying for deferred action renewal between right now and february, because they should still be forced to consider you as of right now. Talk to a lawyer as soon as possible to file g-325a so you can get it on time. I believe you should be fine though, it’s people renewing in 2027 that will most likely have trouble.
