@B A Yes. My mum and I submitted the i485 while the category was current. I got mine approved a month ago, still waiting for my mum’s tho.

@Val Grn it’s great that your I-485 got approved. I understood that it cannot be approved because f2a is not current now. My I-130 got approved but I-485 didn’t. went into second active review and that’s it. My lawyer told me I have to wait for f2a to reach my priority date which is feb 23

@Moh Azg my I-130 got approved after 13 months

@Ivan R The priority date for F2A, family sponsor- based is the same as the I-130, which in my case was May of 2018. I thought the same as you did but I came to the conclusion I’m explaining to you after further research. Good luck with your process tho!
