help someone tell me if anyone knows about this.
Hi so I am due for my citizenship and I called a lawyer to consult and the lawyer said that I am already a US citizen because I was born after 2000 and I got a green card when I was a minor and my mom got a citizen ship while I was a minor as well so there is this law and a rule that applies to me it’s called and N600 in my case I don’t need to give an interview or anything they just mail me the naturalization certificate I have never heard about this law or know anyone Who got citizenship so easily. I guess I’m one lucky lady. I also applied from my husband‘s adjustment of status so I guess I should hold my husband‘s case since I will be a citizen soon also the lawyer was saying that I want to get the naturalization certificate mailed to my house within six months or so I was like wow so if anyone knows about this please let me know I would love to know about this process thank you!!!

Yes. if your parent became a citizen before your 18th birthday then you are already a citizen. in order to prove that, you will have to file N600 along with your birth certificate, your parent’s naturalization certificate and other evidence required. your naturalization certificate will then be mailed to you after uscis reviews and certifies all documents true and rightly submitted

okay I applied for N400 and I was denied because they told me I am already a US citizen so I need to apply for N600. I applied for N600 two weeks and and I didn’t pay the fees because I’m in the military

I’m not citizen by paper but my dad is a US citizen so I derive citizenship from him but I didn’t get certificate or passport .

I went for my naturalization interview that’s when the immigration officer said from your record your dad is a US citizen and you live in his custody when you was a minor and also got your green card when you was under 18 so basically you derived citizenship from your dad so you need to reapply using N600. My N600 is approved and I just applied 19 days ago but I told USCIS about my upcoming deployment so they’re speeding up my process
