help, pleeeeeeeeez🥲
Due to a mistake by USCIS, they used my lawyer’s address as the basis for scheduling my interview. As a result, I was assigned to attend my marriage-based green card interview in New York instead of Florida, where I actually live. Yesterday, the interviewing officer happily told me that my case had no major issues and that there was no need for my U.S. citizen wife to join the interview. They only needed me to come in and verify the information on my Form I-485. However, when we got to the address section, they realized I live in Florida. Unfortunately, they couldn’t proceed any further. The officer even consulted with other interviewers, but the answer was the same — the New York office cannot approve a green card for a Florida resident. They said they would transfer my case back to the Florida USCIS office and reschedule my interview there. Has anyone experienced the same thing? How long does this transfer and rescheduling usually take?

almost the same thing happened to me I was scheduled for interview in Philadelphia which was my previously adress in March 25th and 2 days later they cancelled my interview because they realized that I am living in Florida, I didn’t hear anything from them since then. I sent 2 inquiries, contacted Congressman nada 🤷‍♀️
