I guess it will take a lot of time to this process to move foward. California service center may take more than 113 months (9 years) to take a real decision on this kind of process. As I am seeing right now, your process have around 4 years.

if you look at the immigration website, you will see about the processing time of your process accordingly to the category of it. Son/daughter over 21 could take up to 13 years to be processed.

but my visa category is F2B , not F1
