I don’t think just changing a few words in the mission statement would do anything! I’m still anticipating same type of thinking and processing times. Unfortunately, people don’t change! Way of thinking does not change and work ethics I definitely don’t think will change!

Let's acknowledge that change is brewing at USCIS. Trump's days were difficult for the organization. US immigration is a political ping-pong and it is important for publicly restated mission to lead the change over. We can cry as much as we want but things are changing gradually at USCIS. Backlogs were deliberately created by Trump people to make it look like they are fighting for America

None of the backlogs have been cleared nor have the green card wastage stopped. last year we didn’t have Trump, but USCIS wasted a ton of employment based green cards. We have double the amount of green cards in EB catagory this year. It’s been over 4 months but nothing has moved! Texas center is still moving at the same pace as Trump era! I’ll beleive if and when I see it. As of now mission statement doesn’t mean anything if they’re not showing any other changes 1/2 way down the fiscal year.

You cannot clear backlogs overnight The place was understaffed and deliberately starved of resource by Trump. Our rants here make no sense until you understand the politics of immigration. Biden has appointed two top immigrants to lead DHS and he has his reasons for doing so. I know things have moved at NBC and pple are getting greened in 3-4 months. Nebraska has picked up too. Each applicant is different in what they present and needs to be carefully processed. Let keep hope alive and give Biden a chance to fail.

Freaky D, the two top immigrants were appointed when? …and why are they waiting? What are the waiting for? In a year their big achievement was changing the “mission statement?!?!?!?” It only seems like NBC is moving faster. Do you have the allocated visa numbers out of NBC. Go back last year and the years before that. Not much of a change in NBCs movement. Also, go see what Bush did to clear the backlog. I see no such efforts from the politics side either. All and all still poor performances from USCIS, It’s top of the chain heads trickling all the way down. Yes, no doubt it’s better then Trump era, but it’s all about the funding. They had to show some progress after receiving the funding from Biden administration!. They have to show some performance in order to keep the funds flowing!

It is good we continue to rant. But we are all here because of the promise America offers. Immigration benefits are not a right. They are privileges. Trump wrecked those systems for political reasons. To expect Biden to rebuild a crushed Infrastructure overnight is wishful thinking. There are so many priorities in this country and to expect a leader to abandon all other things to just focus on immigration is wishful thinking. Our impatience with another country's offer to help us is amazing.
