Help
hello everyone , can someone recomend a good reliable attorney or a pro bono attorney in Scranton PA.
my attorney told me months ago , I should get a new attorney that she was dropping my case after I paid her all in full , bc I move out of Ohio and she can’t not longer represent me , but until then she was going to be my attorney.
turns out it was a lie, I have to go to court a couple weeks ago, and she never showed up and never call , and hasn’t call.
can someone help me with this ,
thank you all

immigration has no state limits, read the agreement you signed and take necessary steps accordingly.

You’re going to have to sue her to take your money back.

how much you paid and why did you pay before seeing the agreement?

Make a complaint with Pennsylvania Bar then go to small claim court. If you paid her 12,000 or less you will be able to make a claim without an attorney.
Get all things you have in writing like emails, text messages, invoices you paid to her, even zelle receipts, etc. Also try to have her terminate your contract in writing. So you have all the paperwork to present to the court. Don’t be afraid about your immigration status. You will be fine.

If you paid her for her services and don’t have any written documentation like a contract, it is ok. It shows even further she didn’t act in good faith. Which is good for your case.
