Hello Vawa people
I have got my Combo card " C O9 " few days ago. and im thinking to travel back home but my lawyer told me I shouldn't travel because That the card is from your previous case, and it will be denied. And then if you are out of the country, you will have abandoned your VAWA application.
I had my I-130 approved from my pervious marriage but i haven't applied the for I- 485, I-131 or I-765 through my marriage.
could you help me with your idea's please.

did u hold your I-485 ? like transferred your I-130 to I -360 ?

you must ask your lawyer to write a letter to immigration asking them to hold your i485 until the decision of your i360. you attach the letter with the receipt of your vawa.

after doing this you are free to travel with your combo card as long as your i485 is not denied.

i applied the I-485 based on vawa not based on marriage. so they won't give a decision for I-485 before the decision on vawa.
i will ask my lawyer about hold my I-485
