Hello @jacksom Which state are you from? Reach out to your local congressman or state senator. They have their own websites and on their website is the option to request intervention regarding your immigration petition. Your case is way too long to be still in processing. Was your GC based on Marriage? If yes, Did you apply based on 3 years or 5 years? If you don’t mind, can you share your initial n400 interview. Good luck

they will make a decision within 2 weeks from the status change (from 01/08/2025)

@Tanya R not true i interviewed for n400 on 11/26 got an rfe on 11/28 responded on 11/29 and still since then actively reviewing

hey, keep in mind they can legally take 120 days since the day of your interview to make the decision, after that you can sue them. They usually respond to rfe within a couple of weeks, as per my experience and experience of my friends. So as of now, you’re still in that licit time frame

@Elenav86 V i had interview in December 2023 , so we’re talking about over a year and no decision, i tried with Congress 2 times, they answered still pending… and i know they have 120 days , so I’m thinking about sue them asap… because we’re talking about 400 days from interview

I had my interview in August 2024 and nothing about them yet. I went to my local Uscis office via info pass and the officer who conducted my interview said “ they are fixing my date of birth because it had a issue “ more than 120 days fixing it? 🤷🏾

@jacksom so they updated your status yesterday to Notice explaining USCIS actions was mailed? if this is correct they sent you a Notice of intend to deny after you responded to your RFE.

@ezzo elani “we are actively reviewing you case” status can last for a while, once they update it to “case is being actively reviewed by USCIS” it takes a few weeks to make a decision or request additional evidence or intend to deny the application - like in @jacksom case

@Tanya R before my submite already for RFE on october 21 already. and January 8 they update my case notice Explaining uscis action was mail . mean they need evidence more that correct. and i submit already. how long i wait they make decision? do you know

@jacksom open the notice they sent. They are denying your application and giving you the last chance to submit even more evidence (I guess, check the notice what they ask you about in this notice). If you don’t respond to the notice your application will be denied. They were not convinced by your RFE response. Unless you already received this notice on the 8th and submitted your second response (the 1st one - for RFE, the 2nd one - to NOID). Is this the case?

@jacksom and what does it say in the tab “my progress”? a couple of days you’ll get the letter explaining what decision they made. Good luck ok. either way - don’t get discouraged you can always reapply or appeal
