check visa bulletin when Ur priority date is current in filling dates chart B then nvc send u case id and invoice id then u pay fees and submit documents
niks oDec 2, 2023
your priority date is Feb 2018. at the moment, according to the visa bulletin, those that are current are those that filed before Sep 22 2015 so you still have some time to wait. if you're the beneficiary, use that time to develop/upskill yourself and prepare yourself for life in the US. it will happen eventually.

Esther ChaycaDec 4, 2023
@jo jo yes! according to my lawyer they will change your case from F2A to F1 and they will prioritize you.
I am happy for you!
Congratulations!!! π

@Esther Chayca thank you π. but i still have a long wait

@Esther Chayca please can you explain what you mean by prioritize you? and how does it help your case ? cause as far as Iβm concerned everyone has to wait for the priority date to become current and presently it seems like itβs not going any further(final action date) except dates for filingβ¦ so I really donβt know what table to look out for either π

@Solomon Odion When a green card holder file for a spouse the process will take longer (up to 4-5 years) then an American Citizen filing for a spouse (up to 2 years). The priority will always be the American Citizen. As soon as the person that filed for you become a citizen the person should upload the citizenship certificate into your case and also called the USCIS to let them know that they are citizen and they should change the case from F2A to F1.
A F2A process gets delayed because the number of visas for that year it will be distributed to all the US Citizens case, whatever is left they will give for the Green Card holders case. Thatβs why the process takes so long. If a Green Card Holder filed for you encourages this person to file for citizenship, that will help you tremendously!!!
I hope I helped you.

@Esther Chaya thank you so much for your response but my case is presently in F2B not F2A and my mom turned citizen last couple of weeks and I think she has alerted the USCIS about it, thank you so much for your reply I just hope they do something faster, the only issue is that on the priority date F2B seems to be much ahead than the F1 π
