Hear me out please
I literally smile and am so happy for everyone who gets approved no matter which form they file . But I can't help getting frustrated when I read some are getting approved in literally 2 days with this new I-131F. I'm human guys and I have emotions just like everyone else. I don't blame the players, I blame the game. In my opinion, this is not right !! There, I said it and it makes me so angry to see everyone here jumping through hoops, checking and double checking every line on every form to make sure it's correct. I see timelines going far beyond the BS average time to complete. I feel people's pain and frustration as they tell their stories about being apart from loved one's. We've all read some stories about abuse, neglect and people even talking divorce while waiting for approvals. Every one of our spouses must have a near perfect background and scared a speeding ticket can get a rejection letter. Question after question during interviews having to prove legitimate relationships. Finally, causing so much stress and heart aches having to wait and wait and wait. You better not have done anything illegal or your done. But now there's a new form that has come out called the I 131F and man, this will definitely make people angry. Approved in 2 days after filing WTH ?!?! For those who are upset at my words and fall into this category, people don't think it's a shot at you personally. I can't imagine what it was like for you and your Loved ones to constantly have to look over your shoulders and wonder. I truly mean it when I say I am excited and happy for EVERY approval. But damn, this will effect people's timeline who are going through the process the proper way, the legal way. We should not have to be put on hold so others can jump the line. Lawfully family, we'll get thru this together and continue to pray and encourage one another like we have been. Remember, this is a safe zone to vent if needed or if needing words of encouragement, I'm here for you. Sorry for the long post !

thank you for saying this! I didn't think "keeping families together" program was going to be a give away approvals/green cards to non citizens trespassing the laws, and using mariage to get their overstay forgiven (sometimes their overstay is even longer than how long they know their partner). I genuinely thought it was going to accelerate cr1 process of everyone going the legal way. they prove they can approve cases in a few days, why not generalize it to every cases ?

Honestly! They’re just coming up with so many different ways to make money 🙄

People who get the i131f approved still have a long way to go. They still have to do the green card application process just like everyone else. All of that is a waiting process. They don’t automatically have it given to them. I haven’t heard of anyone getting approved for i131f yet just for i131 but hang in there and be patient your time is coming. 🙂

this is the democrats getting votes for real. I’m furious about this. I spent years proving myself to get through the gates legally. there’s zero incentive to do things right.
K 🇺🇸 D 🇭🇳 Aug 24, 2024
@Marcus Boeckel I am with you. I was just reading about it and I am frustrated. Biden is trying to buy votes.
Ivy VNAug 24, 2024
Your words are exactly my words. And all the people that are waiting for i-130 approval for so long (in my case 14 months) when it used to be 11 months last year, are so frustrated, angry, anxious and dissappointed. I'm taking cbd oil, valerian and passionflower and still have so much anxiety, I'm having many muscle contractures in my back now. I have to take melatonin to sleep. I see my husband 2 times a year, one week every time, he can't travel more for his job. But I saw in the news that Texas and other states are sueing this administration over new "parole in place" let's see what happens
Ivy VNAug 24, 2024
@j d We too have to do the green card application process and wait for consular interview appointment that for some countries is around a year of waiting but all of that after waiting for more than 14 months to get the i-130 approved and all that time being separated from spouses

god bless ❤️Aug 24, 2024
you are talking facts I am just tired of seeing USCIS jumping over cases that were filed from last year and beyond. it hurts we have feelings, I like seeing approvals, but why can’t they process the cases in the order that they were received, this is madness.

You guys aren't even a part of this country and y'all are already acting as if you were! You don't like the way the system is then why are you trying to be a part of it?? The government this, or Biden that, i131F here, slow processing cases there, etc... Okay, so what?! Either you learn to be patient or turn around (immigrate somewhere else)! Every case is different. We should all be grateful to even be able to apply. Let's lift each other up no matter how unfair things might look like. Legals or illegals everybody deserves a chance. Again if this is too hard for some of you, and causes too much stress then bye. Fly back to your home country or withdraw your application. No one forces no one!!!!
Marcus BoeckelAug 24, 2024
@gigi kmn I understand what you are saying and you have every right to your opinion. But I believe you were a little harsh especially on the end. I am a US citizen, a disabled Veteran and as you can tell, very opinionated . But you are wrong, people who entered illegally committed a crime and do not deserve to get approved so quickly skipping in front of everyone here who has been waiting for so long. If you are a US citizen, you know exactly how and why this administration put this program into effect and it's not right !! So I respectfully disagree with your comments especially telling someone who is legally trying to go through this process that if they don't like it, fly back to their home country but I thank you for your comments and being apart of this group.

@Marcus Boeckel Good morning. I'm not a US veteran neither an immigration officer. I just respect the country for which I wish to one day become a part of it because they're giving me (all of us) a chance! Regardless of our past/background. Now I never said it was perfect but that's the reason why we should all work together to make it better by 1. NOT judge, when we don't know the details of every single applicants/applications! 2. Be patient in this long, mentally exhausting process whether it's fair or not! 3. Be KIND! Now as a US veteran, isn't it the kind of people you'd like to have in your country (permanently)?! Well as a nurse, helping people every day that's the kind of people I'd like to be surrounded with when I become a US citizen. Not people who complains about the system and accuse the government of using "shady methods". Please read form i131F and its requirements.. it includes but not limited to kids who were brought here illegally to be reunited with their family, US citizens parents (that's why i131F is called Keeping Families Together)!!! Now tell me, if this is so bad what do you suggest DHS should do? As a US citizen have you try to do something to help make the immigration process of your country better, smoother, faster, fair? If yes then I congratulate/thank you from the bottom of my heart Sir. If not, then I guess it's time to take a break from this app!

I'd also like to add that this process should teach every single one of us: Resilience! Cause if you truly Love this country you'll do the right thing and most importantly you will NEVER give up!!!! 🇺🇲
Marcus BoeckelAug 24, 2024
@gigi kmn I respect every single person that is going through this process and I am truly happy when each person is given the approval. I hold no I'll feelings towards anyone who is trying to make a better life for them and their family, especially the children. In my eyes, they are not at fault in any way shape or form for what there parents are doing. I come from immigrant parents who came to this country legally. I understand the I-131F and call it what you want. Keeping families together is the goal for everyone who is applying for Green Cards and then to become US citizens because, who doesn't want to be reunited with their spouse, I know I do. You ask what can I do to help make the immigration process better, well I served my country proudly, helping defend and protect this country, willing to die for this country. That's what I did and would do it again. You want a faster process, a smoother process well that is simply. Don't implement a system that will slow the process of those who are legally trying to reunite with their loved ones. We just are not going to agree on this matter but that's ok. I meant what I said that we are like a big family on this site with the same goal, to be together with our families doing the right thing as you said. I wish you all the best and hope you are approved quickly.

@gigi kmn I am a US citizen, I am here to track the petition I filed for my husband. I have every right to my opinion. There are a lot of people on here that are the petitioners. we do have a right to be upset!
K 🇺🇸 D 🇭🇳 Aug 25, 2024
@Marcus Boeckel this is the first time I have read you are a disabled veteran. I am honestly surprised there is no veteran expedite process.
Marcus BoeckelAug 25, 2024
@K 🇺🇸 D 🇭🇳 So if I was active military, there would be. I mentioned it to one of couples on here and they inquired about it and recently got approved. I was happy for them

@Marcus Boeckel that stinks. Vwterans should have that option too.

I do understand what you mean, but the adults who were once children and who were brought here without consent by their parents, I feel like that’s not their fault that they did not enter the “legal way” and are trying to actively become legally here.
Marcus BoeckelAug 26, 2024
@jm Most definitely not the children's fault . I don't even hold any I'll will towards those who entered illegally, I actually have many friends who are and they are good people. But the bottom line is, those who currently waiting out this long process are most likely going to have to wait longer for their applications to be processed due to this new option.

I’m 50/50 with you! But in my case I applied for my I-130 on 2016 then applied for my I-601a and I got denied then applied again on 2020 and finally they just approved my I-601a 4 YEAR LATER!!!! crazy huh ? what this means is that I can go back to my country get my visa to enter legally to this country so I can apply for I-485 still a long way to go … thank god for this PIP I can apply for I-485 after get approved……. So it’s not easy not for all of us in my case this is a blessing I’ve been spending a lot of money and time trying to fix my status. I understand your frustration but everybody has a different situation that’s why you are going to see applications been approved in short terms because we been waiting for YEARS!
Marcus BoeckelAug 27, 2024
@TANIA C I'm truly happy for you and wish you the best in completing your journey 🙏 Can't imagine what you went through waiting so long but you went through the process correctly and look forward to hearing when it's completely done

@Marcus Boeckel I kinda wonder if they’re trying to round up all the illegals with this one lol. although Biden wouldn’t do that it still seems sketchy. like “hey, if you entered illegally please provide me with every single piece of personal information about you and then you can stay … 😉”. meanwhile republicans are like ya that’s fine collect their applications no problem but we won’t allow them to apply for green cards…. (starts deportation proceedings) just saying.
Ivy VNAug 27, 2024
@Marcus Boeckel Yes I read the news and I'm happy for it. It wasn't fair.. well at least for now that program has stopped

In our situation, we already have an approved I-130, an approved I-601a, and have been marked documentarily qualified (DQ) by the NVC. So we've suffered through the years-long process of waiting through each of those steps, gathering information, we've argued our case with each application, paid our fees, retained the attorneys and were simply awaiting our chance for the interview to be scheduled in my husband's native country - but we jumped at the chance to apply for the I-131F as it would allow him to interview here, and takes away the (somewhat minor in his case) risk that there'd be a glitch of some kind in his case and he'd be stuck in Mexico, unable to return. That said, the I-131F is not perfect in our case, either. If he'd go to Mexico for his interview (which may still take months before it's scheduled) and be approved, that would give him his green card and ability to work in the US almost immediately. While the I-131F would give him the ability to be processed and if necessary interviewed in the USA, he'd then need to apply for the ability to work and for his green card, both of which would then take additional months to process. Our plan was to apply for the I-131F and see what came first - His appointment to interview in Mexico or the processing of the I-131F, and we'd then decide which course we wanted to take.

One thing that's important to keep in mind is that, compared with many types of cases, the I-131F should not take the USCIS agents much time to process and make a determination for. Also, at most, there were only an estimated 550,000 people who might benefit from the I-131F. Obviously not all those who are eligible will file. Compared to the amount of overall cases of all types that come before the USCIS on a regular basis, the processing of the I-131F cases shouldn't have a great impact on the USCIS case load in the big picture.

TANIA CAug 27, 2024
@Ivy Vn what’s not fair? you need to educate yourself! parole in place means that you can fix your status here in USA …. ones is approved! people need to do the same process that you did (or doing) nothing is going to be easy or faster it’s the same process after that! don’t need to be mean to people we all are on the same boat there’s not priority for anyone. have a bless day hope you get what you’re applying for soon!
Ivy VNAug 27, 2024
@TANIA C Well it's my personal opinion and you don't have to share it. And I was talking to someone else. I'm not here reading other comments with the purpose of críticizing them. In this world there are 8.2 billion people, you can't expect all those millions to have the same opinion like you. So just accept the fact that other people think different because you don't live or make money out of what others think. So you can have your own opinion and let me have my own opinion because anyway I'm not gonna change it no matter how much you try
Ivy VNAug 27, 2024
@TANIA C And when I say it's not fair I talk about we have to do this long process away from our spouses
T
TANIA CAug 27, 2024
@Ivy Vn yeah I’m 100% with you been in this process since 2013 IT’s NOT EASY not fair the system is really broken I don’t even have a work permit and my husband is US citizen been married since 2012 Imagine how frustrated I am ? so reading this type of comments makes me really sad no one knows what we been going through.
Marcus BoeckelAug 27, 2024
@Billy Bob You all are doing it the correct way and I pray you all will receive good news soon. It's well deserved in your case. Please keep us posted on your journey 🙏
Ivy VNAug 27, 2024
@TANIA C But you live with your husband. I see my husband 2 weeks in the year he can't travel to my country more than one time every 6 months for his job and only 1 week at a time so you can't compare. And I don't want to keep arguing about this with you. You're not gonna convince me and I'm not gonna convince you of which one is the worst process. So it's pointless. So next comment you make, I will ignore it
T
TANIA CAug 27, 2024

@Ivy Vn It's coming for you guys, I just feel it !! Submit another piece of evidence of your bonefide marriage like a recent photo of you both that has a date on it. Try talking to a live agent thru Ask Emma. Ask the question - Is our application actually being processed or still waiting to be viewed. Hopefully your timeline to complete changes and your approval is sent. Not sure if it works but that's what I did and got approved last night. Sending you positive energy 🙏
Marcus BoeckelAug 28, 2024
@Ivy Vn Also a good friend wrote a letter that I submitted last week who verified our marriage is real
Ivy VNAug 28, 2024
@Marcus Boeckel I uploaded all the evidence of the relationship 2 weeks ago. And actually that was the first time that the evidence was sent because my lawyers never sent that with the i-130 they told me that was not necessary and they don't work like that but I always wanted to send it so I did. I talked to an agent on the Emma chat last week but they only said the same thing I see on my account. My husband called USCIS 4 weeks ago, I was gonna ask him to call again but I decided to write the congressman so tomorrow or friday I do that
Ivy VNAug 28, 2024
@Marcus Boeckel By the way, I uploaded 3 letters from friends with the evidence that I uploaded 2 weeks ago
