Have hope they don't all take too long
I was originally concerned the process with my husband would take a long time because his family brought him here legally though his Visa had expired and he was only 14. I thought that little detail would make things difficult but apparently it barely left a dent.
Because we have so much chemistry our attorney assured us that the process would go by smoothly. Besides that the only thing that concerned me was that we didn't have a lot of financial stuff together since he doesn't work, he just goes to college at the moment. So I tried to send as much stuff as I could, health insurance, life insurance, dental insurance, are bank account savings and checkings we have together, receipts of things we brought together along with that we sent a ton of pictures and anything to prove that our marriage and relationship is real.
Everything was sent November 1st of 2021.
Fast forward a few months later no RFE'S, he had two biometric appointments one for the i-485 and the one for the work permit ((don't know why they did 2 but I'm not complaining)) and as I type this I received the notification that our interview scheduled March 28th. Meaning if that goes well our case would have only took 5 months...wow. I'm sitting here reading all these posts freaking out expecting for this process to take 10,000 freaking years, especially since I'm in Los Angeles and all the posts I see that are in Los Angeles are people complaining that their process just taking a long time and my process only took 5 months.
Knowing that my attorney will be with us gives us some peace of mind. Hope this gives others some hope to. if it helps anymore my attorney said that all of the times they say on the uscis website are not accurate that they usually would find the case that takes the longest and then use that as a reference but it's not 100% accurate since everyone's case is different so don't let that bring you down and worry about your case taking a millennia.
((Here's my timeline^^))
