@purple cat after making the requests via senator and congressman, did you get any response from USCIS. Also does anyone know why your case went in CPR?

@Saher Mohammed my case went into CRP since USCIS used wrong category. they used EB2 instead of EB1. most CRP cases are because of wrong priority date or category arising due to one of the three: (1) cross chargeability, (2) porting of priority date/category or (3) mistake by officer entering wrong PD or category. Mine was (3). I got a notice from the field office saying that they are transferring my case back to nbc with the wrong category in my notice. that’s how I knew.

and I got some generic response from USCIS that they are looking into my case. nothing after that. multiple follow ups. one month ago tier-2 officer created a WKD request and after 30 days that is also not addressed.

thanks @purple cat my case went into CPR because of point 1 and 3. mine is a case of cross chargeabilty and the officer did not process my case correctly. I had to raise a FOIA to get a copy on my i485 form. That’s how I came to know about the reason.

@Saher Mohammed I heard that if you raise FOIA, they send your record to a different center called NRC (national records center) and then it takes time for the document to come back from the round trip. around 3-4 weeks. so you can expect that delay due to that.

@Saher Mohammed I’m losing patience with USCIS, I dont know what to do. I have tried all possible avenues. seems like USCIS simply doesn’t care 😞

same here @purple cat. it been almost a year since filing. I was really pissed with the way USCIS PROCESSED my case. And on top of that, it’s just pain getting hold of anyone at USCIS who can answer question. literally no Tier 1 and 2 officers could answer my question. Only option I had was to request the documents via FOIA.

@purple cat even I raised an inquiry via my congressman. I got a response from USCIS indicating that they have requested my files back and will review my file again to apply the country of chargeabilty.

PD is current but the visa issued was already maxed out by country. It is the law that only 7% will be issued per country.

@Saher Mohammed have you tried Cisobudsman yet?

@Blue Blue no not yet. I want to wait for couple of months before I try that.

does CRP status means that All the required checks are done? and once visa becomes available we will get GC?? or is there still a chance of getting RFE or Interview at local FO??

@Blue Blue any update on your case? when did you get confirmation from USCIS that they will use your old PD?

@purple cat no update, that was 06/29. the congressman also got back to me, and USCIS says my priority date is not current... I told the congressman that's inaccurate and forwarded my response over. now waiting again. I think my priority date is current, but still pretty recent (01-26-2022), that's why USCIS doesn't care because I'm sure there are lots of people that an much older priority date. I'll push however I can though

@Blue Blue my priority date is also 01-30-2022. is that why they are not taking any action?

@purple cat I'm not sure. I also read it on trackitt that someone was able to update their I-140 priority date by calling and emailing the Nebraska premium center. then mail that over to Lee Summit. So I actually called this morning and the agent said yes they can do it, but need my attorney to do it. so I told my attorney to do it today and they emailed them this morning. fuck now I tried everything lol

@north west nope. but I did contact Emma again, and a tier 2 called a few hrs later and placed a request to NBC a week ago. reference numbers started with WKD. Based on @Saher Mohammed recent post, this might work. we will find out...
