has anyone experienced this?
My son’s case changed to “3 weeks until the case decision” on August 6. Then it went to “2 weeks,” then “1 week.” Last night I was really hoping to see “approved,” but instead it changed to, “Your case is taking longer than we expected, but it is still within normal processing times.”
I feel a little frustrated and confused. Has anyone else experienced this status? If so, how long did it take for your case to actually be approved after that?

yes my wife is say your case is taking longer than we expected but still withing normal processing times 3 months igo

the uscis in progress is not accurate just ignore uscis should get rid of it it just ramdom number generator @R G

I usually didn’t pay much attention to that info either, but this time it got really precise—first it said 2 weeks until the decision, and then exactly one week later it changed to 1 week until the decision.

it happened to me then it will changed to taker long then we expected for one of my cases @R G just ignore it !!

my case did that and then was approved in about 10 months after lol. ease your minds, USCIS will do whatever, just ignore and go on about your daily business. the surprise approval will be sweeter😊@R G
