I have travelled with the extension letter 3 times a. no issues. just make sure you carry the original extension letter with you plus your expired GC(if it is expired) the only pain is that when you travel you have to check in at the counter so plan to be at the airport early

No issues at all. Travelled four times, twice to Canada, once to Mexico, Colombia. You present the expired greencard and original extension letter at port of entry. Officer only asks where you travelled to. how many days were you away for.

i had issues when we went to Mexico, United airlines wew saying I can’t travel with expired Green Card lol. just make sure you have a backup (I took screenshots that I’m allowed to travel from CBC). had no problems in Dubai though, all employees there are aware of delayed GC dxperience
