Has any beneficiary here use his/her assets like money in bank to help with the i-864 qualified and it worked?

What the beneficiary owns is insignificant in this process. Just use the energy and time to look for a co-sponsor

Hello, Based on my experience I’d say that it probably won’t work. My US citizen husband (petitioner) provided assets for i864, but it did not work. As a result, we got RFE. I assume if they were not satisfied with the citizen’s assets, most likely they wouldn’t consider the beneficiary’s assets either. I’d suggest to find a joint sponsor in order to avoid RFE and further delays.

I know… it says any assets should work, that’s why we sent my husbands assets in hope it would work, but it did not. Maybe it’s just my experience and for someone else it did work. i guess If you can find a joint sponsor - it would be the best. wish you good luck 🙏🏻

Yasya, may I ask if you don't mind. did you try using money in the bank? or were they house, car etc. I am asking because we don't have a joint sponsor and would like to know our options. many thanks

Oh wow, and not accepted. my mom is overseas as we are doing NVC processing and we are relying on this found on Uscis website. Can the immigrant visa applicant count assets that he or she owns that are outside the United States, such as real estate or personal property? Yes, under the following conditions: The assets must be convertible to cash within 12 months. The applicant must show that the assets can be removed from the country where they are located. Many countries have limits on cash or liquid assets that can removed from the country. The net value of assets must be at least five times the difference between the sponsor's income and 125 percent of the poverty guideline for the household size. The visa applicant needs to file a Form I-864A to have his or her assets included in the minimum income level calculations.

If you submitted all that and it didn't approve, then I am scared! I need to start praying harder. You have been a great help, thanks so much

I also added my husband’s pay stubs which shows that he got a new job that pays well.. so, I basically tried to include everything we could, but as a result - we got an RFE :( btw, we are both in US, so not sure how it works with overseas relatives.

It sounded exaggerated in your case, over the top meaning your assets were in place it seems, so why the unapproval. They can make it really hard for us! Yes I realized you are in the US, so maybe there is a difference. please pray for us Yasya 😂 🙏

yea, we’ve tried everything to substitute insufficient income, but it probably does not work the way it’s written lol even our friends who agreed to be joint sponsors - simply could not because they also had insufficient income for 2020 due to COVID 🤦🏻‍♀️ I send my prayers to you and wish you to get approved soon 🙏🏻
