Had a biometrics appointment on 09/26 but I am the citizen and my priority date was 06/2023. Why did I have to do biometrics and why was it scheduled so late after the priority date? Any advice pls!

do you have any criminal record ? Adam Walsh act ? the only time when petitioner have to do biometric is related to that

@domino 23 none of that. record is clean. my guess is them just running a background check to make sure but why this late

case was approved on June 12, 2025. 2 years after we submitted paperwork. after that everything was moving along. had The interview this monday and is expected to come to The states in 2 weeks
