H1B filing with pending GC
Hello, looking for guidance, I was on L1 and had to switch jobs due to layoff using my GC EAD. I got selected in H1B lottery and my new employer wants to proceed with petition filing and lawyer has assured that it will have no impact on green card application however I have not yet filed 485J for new job and don't plan to do so unless I get RFE. Any potential risks I should keep in mind if I go ahead with H1B filing. Will USCIS be able to link H1B petition and pending GC application? My priority date is not current. TIA 🙏

why do you want to switch to H1b if you already have GC ead. you can continue renewal gc ead and once your PD becomes current, you will anyways get your GC. is your new employer not willing you to work on GC Ead ?

H1B is just for backup in case GC gets denied - no real chance but....
