H1-B and employment based GC
I have a current employment based GC petition waiting for the I-140 approval, I'm supposed to start working with that employer once I get EAD. My current employer wants to petition H1-B for me, can one affect the other?

I am not law professional but as far as I know, once you start using EAD based on pending I485, you cannot get new H1B. You can ask them to sponsor H1B and start working seems the best option for you.

Thanks Y F. There are separate employers, just trying to make sure there will be no conflicts between the H1-B and 485 petitions.
