Greencard for sibling over 21. Live & work in the US?
I know the processing time for sponsoring a Greencard for a sibling over 21 is longer than a decade but can they legally live and work in the US during this timeframe?
My sibling is in the US on a F1 student visa currently and I want to sponsor her so she has a backup in case her H1B doesn’t get picked in the lottery down the lane

I’m pretty sure she can work at the university she goes to but as far as I know, she can only work at the school. Not outside of school.

she needs to maintain a valid working visa while her green card application is pending.
