It means they received your rfe response. However, what you can also do is pay close attention to the date next to the green check mark. I knew an officer was looking at my file after receiving it when the date beside the green check mark changed. Less than 24 hrs after seeing the date change, I got approved.

@martha m I got an RFE for my medical at NYC FO. I decided to drop off my documents in person. The same day I did this, I got a green check mark with “Response to RFE received on June 12, 2023 at 5:02 pm” (for example). When I went back three days later on the website, the statement changed to “Response to RFE received on June 15, 2023 at 11:24 am” (which means that an officer reopened/reviewed the documents). The next morning exactly 24 hours after, I got an approval notice.

I guess my RFE was just received and not looked at because it just says received and has never had a green check. Both my i485 and EAD has been actively reviewing since February. Status states.... Our records show nothing is outstanding and we will let you know if we need anything from you...bunch of bs😤

someone once wrote here, that Emma told them it means an officer has finished reviewing your rfe response. which makes sense because most people get approval soon after
