when you attend your interview make sure to take any court papers showing your cases are terminated or closed and when the IO asks if you have any amendments let them know you had a traffic citation and then hand them over the court documents showing case is now closed.

I got papers for the not guilty dismissal letters but I don’t have anything about the guilty red light ticket @blessed & favored would I have any problems ?

you need disposition latter from court for your cases. those crimes are not listed as moral turpitude. I think you gonna be good .

@jack jag yeah I have all the disposal letters for it already submitted the copies with i485 but what I forgot is to mention that I’ve had a ticket in the past for red light which I was guilty got my point on my license although it’s all gone now

nothing to worry about traffic tickets as long as it’s under $500 .

I don’t think traffic violation is an issue provided is not criminal traffic violations such as DUI. Redlight tickets will not show on your Background Check

@ankit Sanan if you go to the court system of the county where the ticket was issued, put your name or case number it will pull out the overview page print that page. it should show you paid the fees etc and case is now closed. That’s all you need.

@GOD HAVE MERCY They will show up as points against DL. And if on the i-485 the question about arrest or citations and you said No they will think you were lying. Thats why they need to print that page and let the IO know there was a traffic violation but it’s since been resolved. such little lies is what they are looking for to deny vawa AoS.

if you’re able to bring the certified court documents for anything you have on your name. or in your red light ticket case- proof that you followed through on everything they asked for- payment / classes etc. because YES, if they ask you in your interview and you don’t bring it to light, they’ll think you were lying. I was asked if I was ever arrested, convicted or ticketed ? in one question. my answer was yes - but it was dissmissed at the end. ( here are my certified court documents to show it was dismissed) if you get asked the same question- your answer could be yes, here is my certified court documents AND here is proof of payment and/or proof of class completion for a ticket I was citted . acknowledging all categories and completion of them.
