Green card approved
It seems USCIS might be waiving interviews for i485 family based green card after RFE for i693 medical.
Not sure if this is common + I have little data besides my case to back this up, but my lawyer also told me she has seen an increase of waived interviews and quick approvals after submitting a medical RFE.
Good luck to everyone out there that is stil waiting, I hope you receive a decision soon.

congratulations. I have same dates submiited I-130/ l-485 on June 8,2022 along with medical. biometrics done next month. I-765 filed on Sept 2022.
I-765 approved on May 20.
Rfe issued on Nov for I-485 on tax doc. RFE response received on Feb 16,2023. May 15,2023 case got updated evidence being reviewed. still waiting for decision.

@Jonas B is this medical they requested by RFE in addition to the medical you submit with your initial papers while applying?

@Karan L I did not submit a medical when applying - the reason is that the medical is only valid for 1 year and it usually takes more than a year for your gc to process, meaning you might need to pay the fee for the medical twice.

@Jonas B oh I see. I thought it was one year till you apply. My lawyer had requested me for it to be submitted along with the initial application itself.
But, thanks for clarifying this- was just curious if this was an additional requirement they were needing nowadays..

@Karan L no problem! I know of someone who submitted it early with the initial application and it worked out fine (I also may be wrong about 1y validity and might have misinterpreted my lawyer). Either way, I wish you good luck and I hope your case receives a reply soon!
