Green Card Approved!!!!
At long last, my Green Card Application was approved. Since USCIS works basically as a “black Box”, it is hard for me to guess what contributed to the positive decision. I would say, however, that my looking for a job for the past three months, and my submitting a request to expedite the EAD once I got a solid job offer did end up making a huge difference in terms of how quickly the final approval came. My strong suggestion to the members of this community still awaiting approval? Don’t sit passively, waiting for things to happen. Get a job offer, write to USCIS, do everything in your power to document, argue and present a compelling case. Good luck, and may God bless all of you!

did you submit tax returns when I-485 or 140?
Sergio RiveraMar 25, 2022
Hi, everyone! Thank you all for your kind words of congratulation. I had no interview, and I did get my EAD three weeks ago. Once again, I will say that I focused on putting together a strong case (two letters to USCIS, 3 pages long, each, with lots of supporting documentation attached…) where I essentially argued I was someone who deserved and needed to have his case reviewed asap. Write a convincing case (based of course on whatever true facts you can use in your favor…), and show USCIS you will be a valuable asset to this country once you are given permanent residency here. Good luck to each of you, from the bottom of my heart!

Sergio did you apply eb2 NIW? which category
Sergio RiveraMar 25, 2022
Hi, Alex! I did not. What I did, however, was to attach the job offer I had from one of the largest investment banks in the world. That offer spoke by itself about my qualifications, I believe…
Ale lMar 25, 2022
it was eb2?
Sergio RiveraMar 25, 2022
No, it wasn’t. My oldest daughter (born in NY…) turned 21 and she filed a regular petition. No “extraordinary ability” argument was necessary…
