Great experience with the interview
Hi guys just wanted to share a positive experience here and maybe help people to feel more tranquilized about going to the interview. I have read so many bad experiences here and that made me very nervous to what would happen during mine so I just wanted to spread some positivity here.
I had my interview in San Diego yesterday, we’ve been married for less than a year, never really got engaged but it was a bona fide marriage. When we got there I gave the officer all our bills and she said she didn’t need anything else because we had more than enough already. didn’t ask for joint bank statements or anything else, just the bills and our mortgage statements. Never even looked at any pictures. asked: how we met, how we decided to get married and if we plan on having kids. that’s it. she approved us on spot and few hours after my status changed to card being produced!!
So moral of the story: don’t stress too much, make sure you have all the joint bills/ leasing together, have enough supportive documents and you will be fine!! good luck guys

our thing is, we’re living with his mom right now, so the mortgage and all the bills are in her name, any advice on what else we could bring?

how much time passed between interview ready to be schedule to your actual interview?

It’s hard to have joint bills/Bank account if i don’t have even ssn or ead.
So that might be problem in my case
Other than that “paper things “ we been married for 2.5yrs and we have baby.
So hope that “help” on interview

@Meelo my bills didn’t have both names, we had some in my name and some in my husbands name! As long as all the bills are on the same address you should be fine
