@m ace :- i got an lady officer , she was friendly and didnt aaked me many questions . she went through my application and asked all the questions in the forms we ticked about criminal record and stuffs . then she aaked how we met . how and where was our marriage. then shen asked we something changed after applied to i485(my husband got new job , so we said that). then she asked to show offer letter and the pay stubs from his job. also she asked my orginal birth certificate and passport.
also about when i plan to back to my country and how long i want to stay there.
she asked about my course ( i am doing pharmacy) our address both here and in my country.
we showed our insurance card which states i am spouse and beneficiary of my husband because she got very upset about the pay stub shows my husband status as single/not married. we managed to make her understand it was an mistake from HR section of company.
That was all.
after interview she said , she will review the case and let us know the result within 2 weeks but the case updated to ‘got approved’ after 3 or 4 hours 😇

Congratulations 🎊🍾🎈 Did you received your SSC? I received my green card a week ago. I checked in with Social Security and learned that USCIS did not request a SSC for me. I had to make an appointment which was given as December 9th.

@ana roberts :- i know this journey make us go nuts but think that everything gonna be alright in the end ..!
elisabetta varunNov 13, 2021
@simmone bailey:- i got my ssc by post in the morning of interview day. but it is a restricted one( which says valid for work only with DHS authrization) i dont know why.. i have to figure it out . or do we get another ssc after GC ? i have no idea
Ana RobertsNov 13, 2021
yes.. now as a green card holder you need go to a ss agency near your area and change that ssc. you fill out a form and in a week they mail you a new one without that stamp you have now on your ss card (piece of paper actually) It is better if you do it now bc the one they gave you was before you were a green card holder. and bc everything is delayed that's why you pretty much got the ss card right at the same time you became a gc holder. The reason being is the one with the stamp has restrictions (like to apply for loan or things like that) and the new one which has the same number but no stamp has all the resident benefits. @elisabetta varun

@ ana roberts , thank you so much , i didnt know that . so ssc wont come automatically like the 1st one came right? i should go to ss agency and apply it. thankyou so much , i had no idea cause i dont have any attorney or lawyer to help with
Ana RobertsNov 13, 2021
correct, it won't! You just need to get that stamp out of it that's it. you can still use the ssn on the card as it will never EVER change hehehehe. I have no lawyer either. but I'm so desperate that you read so much about everything and you end up learning and I'm actually thinking about becoming an immigration lawyer hahahahhaa.. just kidding!! but yeap!! that's what you have to do! congratulations 🎊 and enjoy this new life as a legal permanent resident of the USA 🇺🇸 @elizabetta varun
Simmone BaileyNov 13, 2021
The good thing is you have a number. I’m sure you’ll be able to use that as most likely, the number will remain the same.
Maurico maumauNov 15, 2021
thanks @Ana Roberts. for sharing these information cos mine also had that restriction. just got it yesterday. I have a question. if ur marriage has been for 1 year 10 months, what no of years GC (2years or 10years should u be expecting) my interview will be in a couple of days
Ana RobertsNov 15, 2021
your marriage has to be 24 months and 1 day sharp to get a 10 year residency card (pernanent gc) at the moment of the interview If your interview takes place before 24 months, even if it's only one day short to turn 2 years, you get a 2 year conditional green card and then at year and 9 months later you need to remove the conditions to apply for the 10 year residency card. hope that makes sense. @mauricio maumau
Ana RobertsNov 15, 2021
one you get your temporary 2 year green card the clock starts ticking(issued printed date on gc) it is important you don't miss out to remove the conditions and you can do that 3 months before it expires. @maurico may mau
Maurico maumauNov 15, 2021
oh thanks so very much. for these information. l do appreciate
