general question
hey guys , I was told by a family Member that because of my husbands job (military) my I-130 would be processed faster than usual … is there any truth to this ? my documents were submitted on September 9 and 4 days later we got the receipt notification and online it says processing time is 4 months is that valid ?

I know that immigration processes are definitely expedited for immigrants who are actively serving in the U.S. military but I'm unsure about their spouses, it can be common to get receipt quickly and the processing times online are always changing day-to-day based on averages

the only way military can get faster processing is when they get new orders to get stationed overseas or if for instance he was living in a foreign country for work then met you in that country, got married and was send back to the US, then you could file directly with your consulate and in this case it goes faster but I think once you submitted your case to uscis then you can't do a consular procedure
