GC approved
Hi guys! anybody here have a K2 and approved GC for 10 years validity? Me and my daughter got GC approved but my concern is she was issued for 10 years and mine is 2 years, and me and my husband were just married for more than a year. Is it normal?

because your marriage is less than 2y but about the kid I really don’t know 😿 but stay calm because before 60days from the expiration date you’re going to apply for the 10y

yes, my concern is my daughter if it's an error of USCIS or it's just pretty normal

is she your husband’s biological child? is your husband on her birth certificate? if yes then it’s correct but if no you need to contact a lawyer or call USCIS for clarification.

nope, it's my own child. i called USCIS twice already. agent told me it's just normal but I'm really worried so I called USCIS again and she said an officer will call us but it's been 3 days now no calls yet

@shane yes it is normal because your marriage is less than 2 years and your daughter is under 21 years unmarried, in 2 years you will renew your green card again and apply for citizenship i forgot how that part really works, but yes it’s normal

oh okay, thank you. you gave me some assurance. hehehe. because been really confused and asked about it also from a group and then admins said it's USCIS error and she have to report to USCIS to replace her card

my daughter now is 21 years old but she was just 19 years old when I and my husband got married

@shane L you should be glad about that…. Why you worried after 3 years you can file your citizenship and your daughter can file soon
shane LFeb 2, 2023
because some said if it's USCIS error, my daughter will get in trouble when she apply for her citizenship

it’s normal she is under age so there’s no conditions on her gc but yours will have a condition based on your years of marriage
