I filed with the court and it took me 56 days and if it was my background ready when I went to my court I would be done with 40 or less days.

I'm from one of the banned country over year I never receive my green card,no interview no second biometric I'm still waiting and my attorney reffuse to call uscis she said because I'm from banned countries she can't do nothing

I requested an inquiry uscis just ignored it and said can't provide info from now

@David D I asked my lawyer about mandamus and she kept saying am within processing time.

@chris rod yes I was in removal proceeding and the judge denied my mostions to dismiss and also I was in the BIA until my I-360 got approved and my lawyer contact the BIA and DHS to file these motions so they agree to join the motion but the judge denied it and resend it back to the BIA. so the BIA acted on my case and re-remand the case back to the Immigration judge and we filed through the court and honestly after Allah help my lawyer was very smart and did everything to win because the judge tried every possible way to keep me in removal. but Alhamdullah everything went smoothly and in my individual hearing went very smoothly and quickly it did not take more than 5 min and I got granted.

is there any difference if the spouse is GC holder or citizen ?

my VAWA was approved in Nov 2024 ( spouse was a citizen), since then nothing from USCIS. I have done 2 congress man inquiry and 2 senator inquiry, they just say my case is pending at my local office ( Baltimore) I’m seriously thinking of filing mandamus too. but I’ll like to use an attorney to be safe. anyone know a lawyer that does not charge too much for writ of mandamus and how much it’ll cost?

I have been waiting for 15 months now and nothing. I have sent multiple online inquiries, also through congressman and called a couple of times too. Nothing seem to work. I think Mandamus is the only option left.

My Vawa was approved within 3 yrs my Green Card within 7 months…I think it would have been approved earlier than 7 months but lawyers office was closed in December that’s when they sent the request for medicals it took us almost a month to send the medicals after that I received an RFE for self sponsor apparently My Lawyer forgot to send it at the time it was supposed to be sent. after that my Green Card was approved without an interview.

I have a question for everyone if you have a vawa and your abuser is Green card holder what times does it to have your case approve ?

my Vawa approved Feb 2025 then i got 485 medical rfe , Submitted on Jun 2025 to NBC, Since then waiting no update ( i am from 19 banned Countries )

My vawa was approved sept 6 2024, green card interview may 15 2025 Seattle field office, I never heard anything from them, multiple inquiries, calls and congressional inquiries but nothing change

7 months after. Got approved aug 2024, gc March 2025.
