when they issued 2,000 , isn’t per country cap imposed ?
MP MFeb 27, 2024
This numbers seem ridiculously low. This is probably %1 of pending cases.

@Mk Asif The USCIS is turning a blind eye to this. In the fiscal year 2022, they also exceeded the 7% cap for Vietnam
hello markFeb 27, 2024
@Matt B in rare situations they are allowed to do that to ensure visa numbers don't go unused. The common situation is with the major backlog countries India and china in eb-2 and Eb-3. In terms of consulates some post process cases quicker than others so if the DOS see that a specific embassy won't be able to adjudicate their amount for what every reason staff, war , natural disaster etc They allow other post to exceed their cap to ensure to limit the visa wastage.

@Matt B I don’t know why they exceeded 7% cap always for a specific that country. if they exclude this country from all cheargibility then many people will get rid of this situation.

this is what I had concluded a long time ago. The mess up in EB-3 unskilled has nothing to do with the number of applications or visa availability. USCIS is intentionally trying to sabotage this EB-3 unskilled workers to make it unpopular. the record breaking visa processing across all visa types but only 5k is in this eb-3
shiblee 06Feb 28, 2024
@USCIS IS A MESS it is total number or Consular processing?? if it is consular processing, then how 8k was given to consular processing in 2022 ?
sam youngFeb 28, 2024
I think if Vietnam consular backlog is resolved USCIS will probably move forward
Xhi YhaoFeb 28, 2024
@sam young then they should give vietnam all the visas then right? Let us all wait for vietnam then
sam youngFeb 29, 2024
@USCIS IS A MESS I read an article online which was about backlog and it says that Vietnam has the highest backlog due to embassy shutdown and now they are trying to clear that up. so that might be the reason they have issued a lot of visas to Vietnam which I know is not right because other ppl are waiting too
