you have to take your case in your own hands. Do your research on what exact evidence you need. ask chatgpt any questions or evidence you need. You probably need to rewrite your personal statement with more details about the abuse (add more details, any pictures, text, evidence, you can use chatgpt to help you with this) Do not wait or rely on any lawyer because its your case and your life

get yourself another lawyer and then file a formal complaint against your current lawyer for breach of contract and gross incompetence. Then google psychologists around your area who have dealt with vawa before have then do the evaluation and include that in your RFE, also include statements from your family and friends and any organizations you volunteer at. Then get your FBI background done as well as any other places you’ve lived. Then you need to have the new lawyer resubmit your statement with the correct information and attached evidence and resubmit. Best of luck

and stay away from lawyers who have time to be on tictok and social media and vacations, those are not real immigration lawyers they just switched to immigration law because it pays more.

@Jose A I would just wait and not speculate. What rfe did they request? Was it additional proof they asked for? Seeing a psychologist now won't help your vawa case that is close to 4 years old since it won't prove you needed counseling for the abuse or what happened after. From what I gather, uscis places more weight on things that happened during the time of the abuse and before you filed. Whatever they ask, make sure it is from that time to make a stronger case. I'd also say get a new lawyer but that's going to cost new money. I just wish you the best!

Report the Lawyer. Write another personal statement with more details on what have happened more after filing, if you’re both still married you can do psychological evaluation because you might be separated but you can still be feeling the impact of the abuse on you. When sending in the write ups do a change of address. I really don’t know why you people use Lawyer if you went through the abuse, all Lawyer do is just their cover letter which can be done by who truly went through the abuse, just document, write in all honesty and you will be approved even now that they do interview for the abused it will give you chance to cry if need be just to explain yourself out to the interviewer

Thank you for the comments. I really do not have the money to start over with a new attorney. And I do not have the time. Desafortunadamente this attorney cost me so much and now I find out the psychologist is going to cost me another $1000 - $1600 because my appointment and the report has to be expedited. My attorney office has to have by 18 of August so they can get it to USCIS by 21 of September. My attorney office took almost 1 month to return my calls because I saw here I was getting a RFE. So now I am almost out of time. My attorney is Angela Moore - JJ Moore & Associates PLLC. I do not recommend at all. She has offices in Nashville TN and Atlanta GA. The only time I ever speak to her or see her was my consultation at the beginning in 2021 for less than 30 minutes. After my phone appointment with my attorney office Saturday and yesterday they are adding to my declaration. So they will submit my additional statement and the psychological evaluation for the RFE. I have not another option. I have to continue like it is. I am going to do my best and put everything in the hands of God. He knows my future and what is best. I am going to stop worrying. I received request for additional evidence too and I’m not gonna lie,it weighed me down but I got to do what I’ve got do.ive been trying to gather some documents but I realize most of the documents are the one I’ve submitted before.my question now is am I still good with the first psychological evaluation because I’m totally lost now.my joint statement of account was the one I first submitted because I stop using the account when she will not stop spending my money unnecessarily.please anybody who has idea of what I can do should please comment.i don’t wanna base everything on my attorney.thanks
