that’s not truth. once you married an American citizen overstaying and working are forgiven

don’t worry! I also understand that you will be forgiven for this. check with a lawyer and make sure you have your dates and explanation clear. the worse thing you can do is lie in these situations and best to get legal advice.

as long as you were lawfully admitted into the United States, you won’t have to leave the country.

and the reason for my staying wasn’t my decision so I don’t know what to say if they asked
Diltej gDec 28, 2021
as long as you have a I-94 you should be good, if you entered unlawfully then you’d have to go back.

you were underage. that’s a pretty legit reason.

ok thank you all

You could only go back and return if you came into the US without inspection through an entry point. Once you’re in a bonifide marriage with a citizen, you’re good. Saying the truth during your interview and clean records , and the grace of God, you’re good

I’m not sure why you need a job letter/paystub. Didn’t your partner prove the income required in order to sponsor you? As long as you guys submitted ur taxes for the past 2 years I believe, u should be good

You don’t need it. Its only if you didn’t meet the intial sponsorship quota, they would rfe to get more paperwork or tell u that u a joint sponsor but that would have happened long before the interview. In my interview we only got asked ‘how did u meet’ and the rest of time we talked about hockey. They at this point are more judging your interactions towards one another. Our officer was very experienced and she said ‘I’ve been doing this. long time, I kno what’s real or not the minute a couple walks in’ If ur relationship is legit, you’ll be fine:-) Goodluck
