Fort Myers FO Experience
Hi, I recently found out from emma agent that my case has been transferred from NBC to Fort Myers FO. i have two questions -
1. I wanted to ask if you had any experience with Fort Myers FO and how quickly they process the cases?
2. In General, when can i expect 131 and 485 to be approved?
here is timeline -
Jan 11, 20123 - filed 485, 131, 765
Feb 23 - Biometrics
Mar 22 - Transfer to Fort Myers FO
May 12 - EAD Approved

@Jay D Did you submit your medical with the application? Whats your category and priority date? It seems like Fort Myers is not your local field office so the answer to your second question may depend on your responses to these questions. Though I have seen some cases going back and forth from one field office to another, I think a case going to a field office is a good step.

side question - how long it takes to receive i485 receipt notice and will the notice mention if it’s moved to FO? will the same notice also have biometric appointment info ? kindly advise

@mocha m Minimum 3 weeks to receive receipt notices but it also depend on USCIS delay and other factors. You will SMS notifications for receipt number if you have filed e notification form.
Also check your bank transactions for check encahsed by USCIS.
You will receive separate biometric notice which is mostly 1 week after they generate recieved notices.
Sometimes biometric notices take time to reach in mail, once you have received case number you can check with Emma to get if they have scheduled biometric appointment for you.
They don't notify for cases to transfer to field offices, through Emma you will get this info.

My case is very similar. But mine is in Orlando FO. I've received RFE to some docs that I'd already submitted. I think when it goes to FO is a good thing.

@Selith H - yes, i did submit medicals with my app. My PD is current. No progress on 131 at all. any idea when would 131 or 485 be processed post EAD approval?

@Jude kim - wow. did you get ead? has your status changed on 131 form to biometrics received? do you know anything else about this particular FO?

@Jay D Its difficult to tell and I think it will depend on how busy the FO is. But your wait time will definitely shorten since you already submitted the medical.
